Ichiro Miki is a child living in the industrial district of Kawasaki, where his parents' constant struggle to make ends meet often leaves the schoolboy alone. Constantly teased by a bully nicknamed Gabara, his only friends are toy consultant Shinpei and fellow classmate Sachiko. All Monsters Attack is widely regarded as a low point in the Godzilla franchise, criticized for its heavy reliance on recycled footage and a thin, overtly childish plot. While a minority of viewers find value in its unique coming-of-age perspective for younger audiences, most critics view the film as a disjointed, poorly executed effort that lacks the thrills expected from the series.

Editing Extensive reliance on recycled stock footage from previous films creates a disjointed and visually inconsistent experience
Theme The plot centers on a juvenile premise that effectively alienates adult fans while serving as a simple coming-of-age story for children
Production The production suffers from a lack of original monster action and a low budget that forces the film to rely on clips rather than new sequences
Accessibility Opinions on the film's success as a children's movie are divided: some appreciate its focus on bravery and imagination, while others find the narrative and acting to be of poor quality
