Are You Here is generally viewed as an underwhelming comedy that struggles to find a consistent tone. While some viewers appreciate the chemistry between the leads, the film is widely criticized for implausible character arcs and a narrative that fails to resonate.
| Acting | The ensemble cast exhibits strong chemistry that creates a functional dynamic between the lead characters. | |
| Screenplay | The plot features implausible character developments that prevent the story from feeling grounded in reality. | |
| Originality | The narrative balance between lighthearted comedy and gloom remains mixed, as the shift toward betrayal and conflict clashes with the film's intended comedic tone. |
