Key opinion
Born is widely regarded as a low-quality horror film that attempts to mimic classic supernatural tropes but fails due to inept execution. While some viewers find entertainment in its unintentional humor and absurdity, it is ultimately panned for its cheap production values and lackluster narrative.
| Production | The film relies heavily on low-budget, unconvincing CGI that detracts from the viewing experience. | |
| Screenplay | The narrative is overstretched and burdened by unnecessary subplots, such as those borrowed from the Child's Play series. | |
| Acting | Performances are inconsistent and often stiff, with notable criticism directed toward the jarring age gaps among siblings and the inclusion of out-of-place genre icons like Kane Hodder. | |
| Humor | The film occupies a divisive space where its technical failures and bizarre creative choices provide accidental comedic value for some, while others simply find the experience boring and tedious. |
