Key opinion
Boyka: Undisputed IV is widely regarded as a successful vehicle for Scott Adkins, whose performance and physical dedication anchor the film despite a weaker narrative foundation than its predecessors. While fans of the franchise praise the high-octane fight choreography and stunt work, critics note that the film lacks the compelling antagonists and thematic tension that defined the earlier entries.
| Acting | Scott Adkins delivers a flawless, charismatic performance that effectively evolves the character of Yuri Boyka into a more complex, sympathetic figure. | |
| Originality | The fight choreography remains top-tier, featuring brutal, precise, and varied combat sequences that satisfy the expectations of franchise fans. | |
| Screenplay | The screenplay is widely considered thin and reliant on tired tropes, failing to match the narrative depth or compelling character arcs found in earlier installments. | |
| Theme | The film's antagonists lack the charisma and intimidation factor of those featured in previous Undisputed entries, making the conflict feel less impactful. | |
| Cinematography | Opinions on the cinematography and editing are divided; some praise the visual style and technical execution, while others criticize the use of shaky-cam and aggressive cutting that detracts from the choreography. |
