Key opinion
Carry On Girls is widely viewed as a mediocre entry in the long-running British comedy series, frequently criticized for its dated and stereotypical humor. While some viewers find entertainment in the performances of specific cast members and the nostalgic setting, the film is generally hampered by a tired script and lack of original ideas.
| Screenplay | The script relies heavily on predictable, cheap stereotypes and repetitive double entendres that feel formulaic. | |
| Acting | Barbara Windsor’s performance is a standout element, providing a much-needed highlight for the film. | |
| Humor | The comedic execution is inconsistent; some find the gags to be crass and unfunny, while others appreciate specific physical performances like Bernie Bresslaw in drag. | |
| Acting | Opinions on the lead performances are split, with some praising the chemistry between Sid James and Barbara Windsor, while others find James's performance to be weak and stale. |
