Key opinion
Dangerous Lies is widely regarded as a lackluster and formulaic thriller that suffers from significant logical flaws and unconvincing character dynamics. While some viewers appreciate its straightforward visual style, the consensus points to a disjointed, implausible narrative that fails to engage.
| Screenplay | The screenplay is riddled with narrative gaps, illogical character decisions, and forced plot points that undermine the film's realism. | |
| Acting | The lead characters feel artificially constructed and lack the necessary chemistry or believable history to ground the central conflict. | |
| Originality | The plot relies on tired, unoriginal thriller tropes that make the story feel predictable and lacking in distinction. | |
| Pacing | Opinions on the technical execution are divided: some praise the modest, clear visual style for avoiding modern editing trends, while others criticize the disjointed pacing and uneven structure. |
