Key opinion
Direct Contact is a polarizing low-budget B-movie that relies heavily on Dolph Lundgren’s enduring physical screen presence to compensate for a weak, recycled script. While fans of the genre appreciate the nostalgic action sequences and practical stunts, critics condemn the film for its incoherent plotting, blatant use of recycled stock footage, and overall technical carelessness.
| Acting | Dolph Lundgren remains a compelling action lead, successfully displaying impressive physical fitness and charisma despite the film's modest production constraints. | |
| Originality | The film frequently relies on reused action clips and footage from other productions, resulting in a disjointed and derivative visual experience. | |
| Screenplay | The plot is widely criticized for being nonsensical and filled with absurd narrative leaps, often struggling to maintain basic internal logic. | |
| Pacing | Opinions on the action sequences are divided: some viewers praise the choreography and nostalgic intensity, while others find the staging clueless and the editing sloppy. |
