Key opinion
Flower is a divisive tragicomedy that balances dark, cynical humor with an unconventional emotional core. While many viewers praise Zoey Deutch's charismatic performance, others find the film's tonal shifts and aggressive subject matter to be disjointed or excessive.
| Acting | Zoey Deutch delivers a magnetic and versatile performance that serves as the film's primary anchor. | |
| Originality | The film intentionally defies traditional teen comedy conventions, opting for a raw and risky blend of crime, drama, and dark satire. | |
| Screenplay | The narrative suffers from a lack of cohesion, with many critics noting that the shift from provocative comedy to serious thriller feels jarring and poorly executed. | |
| Humor | The frequent use of crude, sex-focused humor is praised by some as daring and effective, while others find it repetitive and excessive. | |
| Ending | The final act is frequently criticized for failing to sustain the tension of the earlier portions, leading to a weak or inconsistent resolution. |
