Description
Odd Jobs Gin has taken on a lot of odd work in the past, and when you're a Jack of All Trades agency based in a feudal Japan that's been conquered and colonized by aliens, the term "Odd Jobs" means REALLY ODD jobs. But when some more than slightly suspicious secrets from the shadows of Gintoki Sakata's somewhat shady former samurai past and a new pair of odd jobs collide, the action is bound to get so wild and demented that only a feature film will do it justice!

Key opinion
This film serves as a polished, visually upgraded retelling of a foundational Gintama story arc. While it effectively deepens character motivations for established fans, its reliance on series-specific humor and tropes makes it largely inaccessible to newcomers.
| Cinematography | The updated animation provides a significant visual upgrade, particularly in rendering dynamic and brutal sword choreography. | |
| Screenplay | The narrative succeeds in clarifying character dynamics and individual backstories, adding emotional depth to the core trio and secondary figures. | |
| Accessibility | The film functions strictly as a fan-service project, creating a barrier to entry that makes it confusing or unengaging for those unfamiliar with the series. | |
| Originality | Viewers are divided on the film's parody-heavy style: some find it soulful and witty, while others argue that the constant meta-commentary has become a repetitive and tiresome trope. |
