Key opinion
Hotel Artemis presents an intriguing, high-concept premise centered on a secret criminal hospital, anchored by a talented ensemble cast. However, the film frequently divides audiences, as many critics feel the compelling aesthetic and potential are undermined by thin character development and a script that struggles to balance its ambitious narrative threads.
| Acting | The film benefits from a strong, star-studded ensemble cast including Jodie Foster and Dave Bautista, who deliver commanding performances. | |
| Production | The retro-dystopian production design and gritty Los Angeles aesthetic provide a stylish, visually pleasing atmosphere. | |
| Screenplay | The script is viewed as a "half-product" that squanders its promising premise with predictable character arcs and underdeveloped thematic ambitions. | |
| Pacing | Opinions on the film's excitement are polarized: some appreciate the focused, "ride-like" action sequences, while others find the pacing lethargic and the lack of consistent intensity boring. |
