Key opinion
Meir Zarchi's return to his cult franchise is widely panned as an incoherent and incompetent failure that tarnishes the legacy of the original. Critics characterize the film as an aimless, poorly acted production that fails to justify its existence or its excessive length.
| Direction | The film suffers from an amateurish and incompetent directorial vision that feels disconnected from the original work. | |
| Acting | The performances are universally criticized, ranging from a faded spark in the returning lead to disastrous portrayals by the new cast members. | |
| Screenplay | The screenplay is burdened by an implausible, foolish, and uninspired plot that lacks the impact of the predecessor. | |
| Runtime | The extreme two-and-a-half-hour runtime is considered excessive, serving only to highlight the film's aimlessness and lack of narrative momentum. |
