The stars are gone. The planets have disappeared. Only individuals aboard space stations or starships were left to give the end a name -- The Quiet Rapture. After decades of decay and crumbling infrastructure, the Consolidation of Iron has made a discovery on a barren moon designated AT-5. An ocean of blood. Hoping to discover desperately needed resources they immediately launch an expedition. A submarine is crafted and a convict is welded inside. Due to the pressure and depth of the ocean the forward viewport has been encased in metal. If successful, they will earn their freedom. If not, another will follow. This will be the 13th expedition.

Iron Lung is defined by its strong atmospheric tension and effective horror elements, yet it ultimately struggles to sustain engagement due to a lack of narrative depth. While the film excels at creating a sense of claustrophobia, its underdeveloped plot and abrupt conclusion leave viewers feeling dissatisfied.

Production The film effectively establishes an intense, claustrophobic atmosphere through its sound design and setting.
Screenplay The narrative lacks necessary context, leaving the protagonist's motivations and the overarching plot feeling underdeveloped.
Production The creature design and visual effects are well-crafted but underutilized due to the monster's limited screen time.
Runtime The two-hour runtime creates a slow-burn tension that some viewers find immersive, while others find the eventual payoff unearned and abrupt.
