Key opinion
Kiss the Girls is widely regarded as a competent and watchable 1990s crime-thriller, primarily elevated by Morgan Freeman's authoritative screen presence. While the film is praised for its atmospheric tension and strong performances, many viewers find the plot trajectory becomes farfetched and formulaic as it nears its conclusion.
| Acting | Morgan Freeman anchors the film with a calm, intellectual, and authoritative portrayal of Alex Cross. | |
| Cinematography | The cinematography effectively utilizes lush, moody nighttime visuals to build atmosphere in the film's first half. | |
| Screenplay | The screenplay effectively adapts the source material's investigative procedural elements, though it leans heavily on genre clichés. | |
| Pacing | Opinions on the plot's development are split; while some find it a gripping ride, many critics argue the narrative devolves from psychological tension into an implausible and predictable action-thriller by the second half. | |
| Ending | The ending creates a divide; some viewers find the resolution captivating and suspenseful, while others dismiss it as an underdeveloped and retreat into formulaic storytelling. |
