Key opinion
Les 7 jours du talion is a polarizing vigilante drama that divides audiences between those who appreciate its stark, realistic approach to moral ambiguity and those who find it a hollow, tedious exercise in misery. While its uncompromising atmosphere and psychological weight spark genuine debate, critics and viewers remain split on whether the film is a profound exploration of vengeance or a pretentious, poorly executed thriller.
| Score | The film utilizes an oppressive atmosphere created by a deliberate lack of musical score and a bleak, gray color palette. | |
| Pacing | The narrative structure and pacing divide viewers; some find the slow, meditative tempo essential to the film's psychological weight, while others find it repetitive and excruciatingly boring. | |
| Acting | Performances are inconsistent, with some viewers finding the lead portrayals realistic and unsettling, while others label the acting as weak and unconvincing. | |
| Screenplay | The screenplay is criticized for being predictable and thin, failing to provide a satisfying conclusion or a meaningful resolution to the central conflict. |
