Key opinion
My Tutor is widely regarded as a generic and superficial coming-of-age comedy that relies heavily on genre tropes. While some viewers find its lighthearted, non-vulgar tone pleasant and watchable, most critics characterize the film as an unremarkable effort that lacks depth.
| Screenplay | The film utilizes a tired and predictable plot structure that fails to provide substantive character development. | |
| Theme | The film maintains a light, optimistic, and relatively non-vulgar tone that makes for an easy and comfortable viewing experience. | |
| Acting | The central student-tutor relationship feels flat and lacks the necessary nuance or role-play depth to sustain interest. | |
| Originality | Opinions on the erotic elements are split: some appreciate the film's attempt at tasteful romantic innocence, while others find the realism weak and the situations superficial. |
