Key opinion
One More Shot is a straightforward action thriller that delivers consistent combat sequences but struggles to replicate the technical ambition of its predecessor. While Scott Adkins remains a compelling lead, the film is hampered by a predictable narrative and an underwhelming climactic confrontation.
| Acting | Scott Adkins provides a charismatic and physically capable anchor for the film's relentless action sequences. | |
| Direction | The abandonment of the first film's signature single-take aesthetic removes the immersive tension that defined the original entry. | |
| Screenplay | The script suffers from generic character archetypes and dialogue that lacks substance or necessity. | |
| Ending | The final showdown between the protagonist and antagonist is anticlimactic, failing to capitalize on the stars' history together. | |
| Pacing | The action choreography is reliable and frequent, though viewers are split on whether the shift in combat style and lack of narrative stakes diminishes the overall experience. |
