Key opinion
Precious Cargo is widely regarded as a lackluster action-thriller, criticized heavily for its derivative screenplay and incompetent character behavior. While a few find the action sequences serviceable or dynamic, the general consensus points to a poorly executed film that relies on stunt-casting Bruce Willis to mask its fundamental flaws.
| Originality | The film relies on tired action tropes and recycles scenarios from better genre entries. | |
| Screenplay | The antagonists are written as inept, implausible figures who behave like cannon fodder. | |
| Acting | Bruce Willis’s performance and limited screen time are perceived as cynical stunt-casting meant to bait audiences. | |
| Humor | The film attempts to blend action, romance, and comedy, but critics find the humor forced and the romantic subplots sappy or confusing. | |
| Direction | Opinions on the action sequences are split: some find the stunts and effects dynamic, while others dismiss the film as a collection of cheap, uninspired setups. |
