Key opinion
Rambo: Last Blood is a deeply polarizing entry that splits audiences between those who appreciate its shift toward a grounded, character-focused drama and those who find its plot derivative and lacking the franchise's typical momentum. While Sylvester Stallone's commitment to the role is widely praised, the film faces heavy criticism for its thin screenplay and controversial political undertones.
| Acting | Stallone delivers a dedicated and compelling performance as a weary, aging veteran. | |
| Originality | The film features intense, brutal, and visceral action sequences, particularly in its final act. | |
| Screenplay | The screenplay is widely considered clichéd, predictable, and structurally disjointed. | |
| Culture | The film's political themes and portrayal of Mexico provoke intense disagreement, ranging from allegations of xenophobia to defense of its conservative perspective. | |
| Pacing | The pacing is divisive: some find the slow, contemplative exploration of Rambo’s trauma rewarding, while others find the lack of action until the finale tedious. |
