Key opinion
Revenge of the Pink Panther is widely viewed as a concluding chapter for Peter Sellers' iconic portrayal of Inspector Clouseau. While it retains the charm of the slapstick series, many critics feel the creative spark of the earlier entries has begun to fade.
| Ending | The film serves as a definitive, if bittersweet, conclusion to the original run of the franchise following Peter Sellers' final performance. | |
| Acting | Herbert Lom’s performance provides a strong, dominating presence that holds the film together. | |
| Humor | The franchise's signature slapstick style remains effective at lifting the viewer's mood. | |
| Originality | The comedic formula feels increasingly tired, with critics noting that the series has lost much of its original inventiveness. | |
| Acting | Opinions on Peter Sellers' contribution are mixed; some appreciate his classic physical comedy style, while others find his performance less impactful compared to his earlier work. |
