Key opinion
Righting Wrongs is widely regarded as a pinnacle of 1980s Hong Kong action cinema, celebrated for its high-octane martial arts choreography and the formidable on-screen pairing of Yuen Biao and Cynthia Rothrock. While some viewers note that the dramatic script and comedic interludes are less polished than those in contemporary Jackie Chan films, the movie remains an essential genre classic.
| Direction | The martial arts choreography, specifically the duels between Cynthia Rothrock and Karen Shepard, represents some of the best stunt work of the era. | |
| Score | The soundtrack is frequently cited as a standout element that significantly elevates the energy of the film. | |
| Acting | Yuen Biao delivers a credible lead performance, though his screen presence and polish are occasionally compared unfavorably to genre icons like Jackie Chan. | |
| Pacing | The pacing is characterized by intense, nonstop action sequences, though some viewers find the interstitial dialogue scenes to be rudimentary or sluggish by comparison. |
