Charles Brady and his mother, Mary, are the last of a dying breed whose needs are not of this world. They are Sleepwalkers - able to stay alive only by feeding on the life-force of the innocent, but destined to roam the earth, avoiding discovery while searching for their next victim. That search takes them to the sleepy little town of Travis, Indiana, where beautiful teenager Tanya Robertson is about to become an unwilling pawn in their nightmarish fight for survival.

Sleepwalkers is a divisive 90s horror film that fans appreciate for its quirky atmosphere, unique cat-centric lore, and nostalgic charm. Critics, however, frequently cite the film as a weak adaptation hampered by dated visual effects, thin plotting, and an uneven execution of its bizarre premise.

Score The film creates a distinct and memorable atmosphere, bolstered by an effective musical score and a strong sense of campy 90s style.
Originality The central premise involving were-cats and their vulnerability to ordinary felines is viewed by some as an imaginative, original horror concept.
Production The visual effects, specifically the makeup and monster suits, have aged poorly and frequently undermine the intended horror.
Screenplay The screenplay is widely criticized for being thin, illogical, and failing to provide sufficient depth to the titular monsters.
Acting Opinions on the acting are split; some praise the committed performances of the cast, while others find the characterizations and relationships underdeveloped.
