Key opinion
Spies in Disguise is generally viewed as an entertaining, visually polished family action-comedy that leans heavily on established genre tropes. While many appreciate the chemistry between the leads and its lighthearted humor, others criticize the film for its predictable plot, lack of originality, and thin character development.
| Production | The film utilizes vibrant, high-quality animation that remains consistent with the studio's aesthetic strengths. | |
| Acting | The vocal performances of Will Smith and Tom Holland create an engaging and effective dynamic between the two protagonists. | |
| Originality | The narrative relies on conventional genre tropes and a predictable structure, offering little in terms of unique storytelling. | |
| Screenplay | Opinions on the screenplay are divided; some find the dialogue and humor witty and enjoyable, while others dismiss the writing as filled with cliches, plot holes, and excessive dialogue. | |
| Pacing | The film's pacing is a subject of disagreement; while some viewers enjoy the consistent action and energy, others find the second half exhausting or poorly balanced. |
