Key opinion
Still Smokin is widely perceived as an unpolished, plotless collection of vignettes that lacks the structural integrity of its predecessor. While critics and general audiences are largely alienated by its crude, improvisational nature, dedicated fans of the Cheech and Chong brand find it an enjoyable, albeit uneven, showcase for the duo's vulgar comedic chemistry.
| Screenplay | The film functions as a loose collection of independent comedy sketches rather than a cohesive narrative feature. | |
| Humor | The crude and vulgar humor is either an effective source of genuine laughter for fans or an amateurish deterrent for broader audiences. | |
| Screenplay | The lack of a traditional plot makes the experience feel significantly less professional and structured than the original film. | |
| Ending | The chaotic ending is regarded as a successful highlight that recaptures the spirit and entertainment value of the first installment. |
