Key opinion
This St. Petersburg-set romantic comedy blends light fantasy with character-driven growth, earning praise for its warm atmosphere and visual charm. While some find the plot predictable and the pacing uneven, most viewers appreciate its sincere exploration of self-discovery and its effective use of urban aesthetics.
| Production | The film masterfully utilizes the St. Petersburg landscape, with its historic architecture and atmospheric lighting, to function as a vibrant, essential character. | |
| Acting | Mila Yershova delivers a compelling, nuanced performance that grounds the film's whimsical premise in genuine emotional development. | |
| Originality | The narrative structure—a mirror-based portal connecting parallel lives—is a charming, albeit conventional, genre device that effectively frames the protagonists' romantic journey. | |
| Pacing | Opinions on pacing are split; some viewers find the contemplative, character-focused tempo soothing and gentle, while others experience it as repetitive and frustratingly stagnant. | |
| Screenplay | Critics are divided on the film's depth; some celebrate its insightful exploration of self-worth and shedding toxic illusions, while others dismiss the script as a hollow, predictable rom-com formula. |
