Key opinion
The Courier is widely regarded as a lackluster B-movie that suffers from a thin, predictable plot and a claustrophobic setting. While some viewers find entertainment in its unpretentious, stylized action, most critics and audiences are disappointed by the lackluster performances and jarring execution.
| Production | The film’s setting is limited to a claustrophobic underground parking garage, which most viewers find repetitive and visually restrictive. | |
| Screenplay | The screenplay is criticized for being shallow, clichéd, and full of illogical, poorly written dialogue. | |
| Acting | Gary Oldman’s performance is polarizing; some view it as a cartoonish, half-hearted caricature, while others appreciate his colorful, comic-book flavor. | |
| Acting | Olga Kurylenko’s performance is contentious: detractors find her character stereotyped and wooden, while supporters praise her grounded physicality and combat skills. | |
| Originality | The action sequences divide audiences between those who see them as competently choreographed, inventive stunts and those who find them cheap, unrealistic, and repetitive. |
