The Divine Move 2: The Wrathful is a visually arresting and stylistically bold sequel that elevates Go into a high-stakes, violent arena. While its technical production and performances earn praise, the film is frequently polarized by its over-the-top narrative absurdity and bombastic tone.

Production The technical craft—including the striking visual effects and immersive sound design—stands out as a high-quality achievement.
Acting The lead performances are strong, successfully anchoring the film even when the surrounding narrative falters.
Originality The film creatively reimagines the game of Go through wild, lethal concepts like one-color matches and high-speed blitz games.
Screenplay The screenplay is highly divisive; some find the creative concepts brilliant, while others critique the writing as pompous, absurd, and in need of refinement.
