Key opinion
The Little Things is a derivative crime thriller that leans heavily on its talented cast to compensate for a predictable plot. While the 1990s atmosphere and Jared Leto's unsettling performance are highlights, the film is hindered by poor editing and a disappointing conclusion.
| Acting | Jared Leto’s unsettling and charismatic performance serves as a major highlight | |
| Cinematography | The 1990s setting and moody visuals effectively evoke a strong, oppressive atmosphere | |
| Originality | The narrative is criticized as a derivative and predictable homage to 90s thrillers like Se7en | |
| Ending | The film's ending is widely viewed as disappointing or lacking in plausibility | |
| Editing | The editing is frequently described as poor or choppy | |
| Acting | Rami Malek’s performance is often criticized as wooden or unconvincing | |
| Pacing | Pacing is polarizing, as some find the slow development adequate while others find it boring or rushed |
