Key opinion
Trolls World Tour is a vibrant, music-focused adventure that divides critics and audiences on the balance between style and substance. While many appreciate its colorful world-building and positive message of cultural unity, others find the narrative thin and the character development lacking compared to the original.
| Production | The film utilizes a rich, psychedelic visual palette that effectively distinguishes between the various musical troll tribes. | |
| Screenplay | The narrative structure is widely criticized for being thin, predictable, or lacking the cohesive arc found in the first film. | |
| Theme | The film aims to teach children about the value of cross-cultural harmony and the importance of celebrating differences. | |
| Score | Opinions on the musical integration are split: some find the medley of genres inventive and central to the plot, while others feel the soundtrack is uninspired or fails to match the energy of the original. | |
| Humor | The quality of humor is a point of contention, with some viewers finding it witty and fun for families, while others dismiss the jokes as stale or less engaging than the predecessor. |
