Однажды в Каракуре произошёл следующий случай. В городе появилась группа созданий, именуемых «полыми». Рукия Кучики и Ичиго Куросаки отправились в разведку, по пути обнаружив проводника душ Сэнну. Впрочем, помимо имени её меча, никакой больше информации о ней нет. О принадлежности к какому-либо отряду она также не упоминает. В Сообществе душ также неспокойно. В небе над Сэйрэтэй образовалась проекция мира живых. Объявлено чрезвычайное положение, проводится срочное расследование данного случая. Для некоторых проводников душ это событие послужило знаком приближающегося конца. Если баланс между Сообществом душ и реальным миром пошатнется, оба мира могут пострадать. Тем временем, Тосиро Хицугая получает специальный приказ…
