Бэрри, Анжель, Джой и Сибил — бывшие члены популярного европейского кабаре «Бэрри Николс и Лес Герлз». Через несколько лет после распада группы Сибил публикует мемуары о том, что происходило за кулисами между Бэрри и его партнершами в романтическом плане. Анжель возмущена откровениями и подает на Сибил в суд, начинается разбирательство, и фильм превращается в музыкальный «Расемон», когда каждый из главных героев рассказывает историю так, как он ее помнит.
