В прелестной сказочной стране жили-были удачливый красавец Король и добродетельная Королева. Роскошь и богатство царили во дворце, окружённом могучими крепостными стенами, а в королевской конюшне стояло много добрых коней. Однако самое почетное место занимал там… старый осел, и посетители гостеприимного королевства не переставали этому удивляться. И удивлялись они до тех пор, пока не узнавали шокирующую тайну — старый противный осел был основным инвестором в бюджет королевства, потому что… справлял нужду исключительно золотыми монетами и драгоценными камнями. Однако превратности судьбы не миновали и счастливых обитателей дворца. Королеву сразил жестокий недуг, и безутешный Король поклялся, что женится вновь только на принцессе, которая будет еще прекраснее его любимой покойной супруги.
